USDMA Showcases Uttarakhand’s Disaster Management Model to Himachal Pradesh SDMA Vice-Chairman Deepak Rathore.
The Uttarakhand State Disaster Management Authority (USDMA) briefed Himachal Pradesh SDMA Vice-Chairman Shri Deepak Rathore on Uttarakhand’s disaster management model, including the Incident Response System (IRS), standard operating procedures, Quick Response Teams (QRTs), and real-time monitoring of the Char Dham Yatra. He appreciated USDMA’s initiatives, including the Bhudev App, and emphasised stronger inter-state coordination and cooperation in managing landslides, heavy rainfall, glacial lake outburst floods (GLOFs), and other mountain-related hazards.
