USDMA Reviews Rainfall Situation as Chief Secretary Directs 24×7 Alert and Coordinated Disaster Response.
28 September 2026 | Dehradun: Chief Secretary Shri Anand Bardhan reviewed the rainfall situation across Uttarakhand at the State Emergency Operations Centre (SEOC) and directed all departments to remain on 24×7 alert mode in view of the red and orange weather alerts. The review focused on river water levels, blocked roads, landslide-prone areas, relief and rescue operations, power, drinking water and communication services. He directed district administrations to maintain close coordination with USDMA, SDRF, NDRF, police and other response agencies, ensure timely restoration of essential services, keep machinery and resources ready in vulnerable areas, and prioritize the safety of citizens.
