USDMA Participates in International Workshop on Landslide Risk Reduction and Disaster-Resilient Development in the Himalayas – 2 February 2026.
The Uttarakhand State Disaster Management Authority (USDMA), in collaboration with the Uttarakhand Landslide Mitigation and Management Centre (ULMMC), participated in a five-day international technical training programme held from 2 to 6 February 2026 in Dehradun. The programme brought together experts and scientists from India and abroad to strengthen understanding of Himalayan landslide risks and promote disaster-resilient development. The training focused on slope stability, soil reinforcement, soil nailing, drainage solutions, satellite-based risk mapping, early warning systems and sustainable infrastructure, while strengthening technical capacity and inter-agency cooperation for landslide risk reduction.
