USDMA Conducts Tabletop Exercise with NDMA to Strengthen Disaster-Safe Char Dham Yatra Preparedness – 8 April 2026.
The Uttarakhand State Disaster Management Authority (USDMA), in collaboration with the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), conducted a comprehensive Tabletop Exercise on 8 April 2026 to strengthen disaster preparedness and response mechanisms for the upcoming Char Dham Yatra. The exercise focused on risk assessment, impact-based forecasting, real-time crowd and traffic monitoring, emergency response, healthcare preparedness, helicopter safety, communication systems and inter-agency coordination to ensure a safe and seamless pilgrimage.
