State-Level Mock Drill to Be Held in All 13 Districts of Uttarakhand on July 2 to Test Disaster Preparedness Ahead of Monsoon.
Ahead of the monsoon season, Uttarakhand will conduct a state-level mock drill on July 2 across all 13 districts to test disaster response capabilities, inter-departmental coordination, and relief and rescue preparedness. The initiative follows directions from Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. Secretary, Disaster Management and Rehabilitation, Vinod Kumar Suman reviewed preparations virtually with district and departmental officials, instructing that the drill be conducted to closely simulate real disaster conditions so that coordination, information sharing, resource availability, and emergency response systems can be effectively tested.
