Sri Lankan Civil Service Delegation Visits USDMA to Learn About Uttarakhand’s Disaster Management Model.
A 40-member delegation of Sri Lankan civil service officers visited the Uttarakhand State Disaster Management Authority (USDMA) on 17 August 2026 under a capacity-building programme organized by the National Centre for Good Governance (NCGG). The delegation learned about Uttarakhand’s disaster management practices, including early warning systems, weather-based risk management, landslide mitigation, technology-based solutions and community participation.
