World Bank Reviews U-PREPARE and Disaster Risk Reduction Works at USDMA.
The World Bank’s high-level team, led by Managing Director and Chief Knowledge Officer Mr. Paschal Donohoe, visited the Uttarakhand State Disaster Management Authority (USDMA) on 28 August 2026. The team reviewed World Bank-supported disaster risk reduction initiatives and appreciated Uttarakhand’s efforts towards building a disaster-resilient state. The team also inspected the earthquake-resistant USDMA building constructed using advanced base-isolation technology under the U-PREPARE project.
