USDMA reviewed the potential risks from glacier lakes and ongoing monsoon conditions in Uttarakhand, with directions to strengthen real-time monitoring through satellite imagery, remote sensing, drones, sensors and early warning systems. Departments were instructed to remain on 24×7 alert and ensure coordinated, rapid response to landslides, road blockages, rainfall and essential service disruptions.
