Secretary Mr. Vinod Kumar Suman Plants a Tree Under ‘One Tree in Mother’s Name’ Campaign on World Environment Day
On Thursday, Secretary of Disaster Management and Rehabilitation, Mr. Vinod Kumar Suman, planted a sapling at the Secretariat under the ‘One Tree in Mother’s Name’ campaign on the occasion of World Environment Day. On this occasion, he stated that disaster management and environmental conservation are deeply interconnected. Maintaining environmental balance is an effective step toward controlling the intensity and frequency of natural disasters. He emphasized that this day reminds us that maintaining a balance between nature and humanity is no longer just a need but has become a necessity for our survival.
Additional Chief Executive Officer (Administration), Mr. Anand Swaroop, said that protecting the environment is the first and most effective step towards disaster prevention. He added that every effort made today towards environmental conservation will help safeguard us from the impacts of future disasters, and thus, everyone must contribute significantly to environmental protection.
On this occasion, Finance Controller Mr. Abhishek Kumar Anand, Project Director of U-Prepare Mr. S.K. Birla, Private Secretary Mr. Pankaj Negi, Mr. Praveen Bisht, and others were present.
